    • 8th Grade Student tours: 9:00-10:30 am, Tuesday, August 30 @ HHS
    • 6th and 7th Grade Students Smart Start: 1:00-2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 30 @ HMS
    • Middle School Open House: 5:00-6:00 pm, Wednesday, September 7

  • Elementary Orientations & Open House 

    Due to construction taking place, there are some changes to the usual school openings:

    Kindergarten & Young Kindergarten Orientation 

    • 6 - 7 pm, Wednesday, August 31

    • Central Elementary should use the entry doors near the Northeast corner of the building (off Walnut St).

    1st thru 5th Grade Open House


      6 - 7 pm, Tuesday, September 6
    • Kindergarten classes will not have an open house this night

  • Substitute Teachers & Bus Drivers Needed!

    Hastings Area Schools are in need of both substitute teachers and bus drivers! If you are interested in substitute teaching, please visit www.edustaff.org for application materials.   • New Donation Opportunities Announced

    Hastings Area School System receives many donations from generous community members near and far. Our District Accountability Committee (DAC) recommended an easier process through our website. Check out this new homepage for information on the existing Hastings Educational Enrichment Foundation (HEEF) as well as the newly established direct giving program.

    Hastings Area School District is now taking facility requests online through our CommunityUse calendar and request system. You can enroll online and enter requests for after-hours facility usage by following the simple steps outlined in these 2 documents.

  • Parents of Puzzles Meeting
    Where: Barry Community Enrichment Center, 231 South Broadway, Hastings.
    When: 4th Tuesday of the month, 6:00 to 7:00, Child care provided
    Meeting will be informational and have a social.
    We are an association of parents, and others who actively seek to support meaningful participation in all aspects of life for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families in Barry County.
